Fortnite Update Nerfs Popular Hero Item

Fortnite recently made changes to several items through an update, including a major overhaul of the Bass Boost Hero item. With this update, Epic Games also completed its largest collaboration to date with the Star Wars franchise. This partnership gave players the exciting opportunity to interact with iconic locations, weapons, and characters from the Star Wars films and other media.

As the Death Star was destroyed in an explosive live event at the conclusion of the Galactic Battle mini-season, players were ushered into Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, a season that is completely superhero themed. This time around, the Battle Pass features iconic characters like Superman and Robin, as well as several new original superheroes created by Epic Games. The new season also features a number of changes to make gameplay more exciting, including new weapons and items that grant special powers.

In a recent Twitter post, Epic Games announced that a new update released for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 has brought some major item changes. Firstly, the Outlaw Shotgun’s damage has been increased, and now its fall-off range is longer than before. Also, the environmental damage caused by the ‘Bass Boost Hero’ item has been reduced. The update also mentions that the health of Spyros in Solo mode has been reduced, making them a bit easier to defeat.

Fortnite Has Nerfed the Bass Boost Hero Item

Famous leaker HYPEX has revealed some important changes related to the ‘Bass Boost Hero’ item in Fortnite. According to him, the damage done to structures by this item has now been reduced from 2,000 to just 250. In addition, the energy blast generated by Bass Boost now ends in four seconds instead of five, and its blast radius has also been reduced by 50%. All these changes make a big difference to the strength of this item. However, the community seems divided over these changes. Some players believe that these nerfs are excessive and the item no longer looks as impressive in the build mode as before. At the same time, other players are welcoming this change, saying that ‘Bass Boost Hero’ was causing a lot of imbalance in the build-based version of the battle royale.

According to recently revealed information, Epic Games has initiated legal action against a Fortnite player who is accused of developing, maintaining, and selling cheating software. This software gives users improper abilities such as seeing through walls and automatically targeting other players. The lawsuit also targets five other individuals who allegedly assisted in selling these software through websites and Discord. Epic Games says that such cheating tools not only disrupt the balance of the game but also have a negative impact on the health of the community. Many players quit the game when repeatedly confronted by cheaters, ending their reliance on in-game purchases such as the Battle Pass and the Item Shop. Regardless of how this lawsuit will be resolved, it is clear that Epic Games is taking a tough stand against cheating in its popular battle royale title — strengthening the sense of trust and safety in the community.
