Fortnite Leak Reveals New Details About Blitz Royale

Several prominent Fortnite leakers have shared new information about the upcoming game mode ‘Blitz Royale’, which is expected to launch with a major update coming on June 18. The mode will be a part of Epic Games’ recently unveiled Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 3, which has seen popular DC superheroes like Superman and Robin land on the island.

Epic Games recently announced that Fortnite’s new game mode Blitz Royale will go live on June 18. This fast-paced mode is designed for up to 32 players and is specifically designed with the mobile platform in mind. Each match will be around five minutes long and will include rogue-like elements. Although it is designed for mobile, players will be able to experience it on all platforms with crossplay support. Blitz Royale will launch as a permanent mode, meaning it will remain in the game for a long time.

Since the announcement of the Blitz Royale mode, several reliable leakers have shared new information about its possible features. Popular leaker ShinabiiR has claimed that the new mode will receive regular weekly updates during its first month. According to his post, these updates could also include possible collaborations with popular franchises like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Fortnite’s Blitz Royale May Launch With Major Crossovers

In another post on Twitter, popular leaker HYPEX hinted that the Blitz Royale mode could feature Dragon Ball-inspired Mythic items. Fortnite has collaborated with famous franchises several times over the years—including anime series—which have added skins, powers, and special locations to the game.

Leaker Loolo_WRLD claims that the Blitz Royale mode will launch in Fortnite without a ranked variant. While most of Fortnite’s battle royale modes have ranked versions, Epic Games recently discontinued the ranked version of the Fortnite OG Zero Build due to concerns over matchmaking health. As such, it’s possible that the developer wants to avoid similar problems by launching only a single version of Blitz Royale.

Blitz Royale won’t be the only new game mode coming on June 18, as Epic Games is also launching LEGO Fortnite: Expeditions on the same day. This new LEGO experience will include three new hero classes, which seem inspired by the superhero theme of Chapter 6 Season 3. Leakers say that players will be able to access Expedition mode from any bus station in LEGO Fortnite: Odyssey or Brick Life. With so many new features and upcoming updates, many Fortnite fans are quite excited about its future.
