A recent Diablo 4 leak has revealed that three new pets will be added to the game in the upcoming season. Pets have been an extremely popular feature of the Blizzard franchise, and now they will be a part of Diablo 4 as well. As a part of this new feature, players will be able to bring along these small but loyal companions to accompany them on their journey.
To unlock the pets feature in Diablo 4, players have to complete a quest called ‘Loyal Companion’ in Kyovashad. Upon completion of this mission, players can summon pets that collect useful items such as gold, herbs, gemstone fragments and crafting materials during their journey. Currently, there are several types of pets in Diablo 4 such as Ashera, a loyal dog that players receive upon completing the Kyovashad quest. Now, according to a new leak, players will soon be getting even more pet companions.
A recent leak shared by Wowhead revealed that three new pets will be added to Season 9 of Diablo 4. The first of these is a brown and white goat, which players will be able to get absolutely free upon completing the Season Journey. The second pet will be a ‘hellish goat’ with black fur and scary patterns of red on its body. Although Wowhead could not clarify how this pet will be acquired, it is speculated that it may be available through the in-game store, especially since Diablo 4 already sells pets. The third pet will be a red-eyed, sinister-looking hellhound, which may possibly become a part of the Premium Battle Pass rewards. However, there is no official confirmation about this yet.
Diablo 4 Teases the Arrival of Three New Pets in Season 9
Diablo 4 is currently in its eighth season, introducing four new pets for players. These include ‘Lily’ — a short-tempered purple-haired cat, which was released as part of a special bundle in the store. The bundle also includes a sigil and a trophy with Lily. Players can unlock ‘Orinoctah’, an owl with stunning blue and black feathers, by purchasing the Deluxe Battle Pass bundle. ‘Nicolo’, a fearsome red-eyed bird, is one of the special gifts available in the Death Messenger Platinum Pack. The fourth pet ‘Anadia’ is a majestic barn owl that can be purchased through the ‘Beasts Reliquary’ section of the Premium Battle Pass or separately.
The information shared by Wowhead is based on speculation at this point, so Diablo 4 players should treat these leaks with caution. These are subject to change until there’s official confirmation from Blizzard. Still, it’s worth mentioning that Wowhead is considered a trustworthy source, so it’s entirely possible that these three new pets will indeed be included in Diablo 4 Season 9.
