New footage of Battlefield 6 has leaked, showing some cinematic and destructible scenes from the single-player campaign. The leak also indicates that the game will feature multiple modes, including the signature multiplayer experience that Battlefield has become known to fans and has come to love and enjoy for years.
Although Battlefield 6 has not been officially revealed yet, confirmation from EA and developers at Battlefield Studios has made it clear that the upcoming game is in development. Launched in February 2025, the ‘Battlefield Labs’ program gives players the opportunity to test new features and content coming to the game. A large number of invites have been sent out for the program recently, with many players joining under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). However, despite the NDA, some participants have leaked information and footage of Battlefield 6 online while the game is still in development.
As RockPaperShotgun reports, a new clip from Battlefield 6 has been leaked on Twitter by dataminer Temporal. The footage shows a cinematic and devastating moment from the game’s single-player campaign. The video shows the finale of a mission in which the final objective is to destroy a massive dam located in Tajikistan. The clip shows the player fleeing the dam in the final moments as it collapses, while bomber jets drop their payloads on the surrounding area. Since the mission is still in development, the clip has no sound, but the footage clearly shows the explosive action that has become the hallmark of the Battlefield series.
New Battlefield 6 Leaked Footage Shows Cinematic and Destructive Moments from the Single-Player Campaign
It’s important to note that the leaked Battlefield 6 footage does not represent the final look of the game’s campaign, as major changes to the content are possible before the official launch. The footage includes many unfinished elements such as greybox geometry, placeholder props, unfinished animations, and other in-development indicators that make it clear that the game is still in the construction phase. Still, the clip shows elements of the destruction and scale that the Battlefield series is known for. Additionally, the datamine also suggests that missions based on locations such as the US, Egypt, and Gibraltar may also be included in the game.
A recent leak suggests that Battlefield 6 may include a new battle royale mode. According to reports, the mode will be inspired by Activision’s popular game Call of Duty: Warzone, with similar features such as supply drops and mission-based rewards. Apart from this, a unique feature called ‘Oversight System’ is also likely to be included, which allows dead players to help their surviving squad members through drones, turrets and cameras. If these leaks prove to be accurate, the battle royale mode could become one of the major attractions of Battlefield 6 this summer. At the same time, the new Battlefield game is expected to launch within EA’s current financial year which runs till March 31, 2026.
