One of Palworld’s most prominent public representatives has shared an important teaser for the Tides of Terraria update, indicating that this much-anticipated content update could be arriving sooner than players expect. While no official release date has been announced for Palworld’s next major update yet, Communications Director Bucky has called on fans to be ready, further fuelling excitement in the community.
Palworld reached the top spot on Steam Charts when it launched into Early Access in January 2024. Though its popularity has waned somewhat over time like many other Early Access titles, the game remains actively strong. Palworld is still attracting an average of 24,000 to 31,000 concurrent players per day on Steam, in addition to maintaining a dedicated player base on Xbox and PlayStation 5.
Recently, Palworld’s Communications Director Bucky replied to a Twitter post from streamer MightyKeef, in which he said that he hadn’t played the game since the early access launch, but spent six hours in a single session when he returned recently. Bucky responded to this by indicating that the Tides of Terraria update would be coming ‘very very very soon’, indicating a release window getting closer. He also mentioned that there have been many major changes to Palworld since the start of 2024, and that the upcoming update will add even more new content for fans. Previously, there was only a hint from PocketPlayer that this major content update could come by the summer of 2025, but this encouraging comment from Bucky is now leading many players to believe that the official announcement could be very near.
Palworld’s Tides of Terrarria Release Announcement May be Coming Soon
The Tides of Terraria update was announced in mid-May, and will be Palworld’s first major video game crossover, adding elements from Re-Logic’s popular sandbox game Terraria. While limited information has been shared through official communication channels so far, players can expect new islands, more Pals, and other unknown but exciting content in this update.
Palworld has received two major content updates since its Early Access launch. The first, the Sakurajima Update, was released in late June 2024, and the second, the Fabbrec Update, came six months later, in late December 2024. Both updates added new Pals as well as new lands to explore, similar to what is expected from Tides of Terraria. If this six-month interval pattern continues, fans can expect to see this major update as a surprise release before the end of June.
